Monte / Jardim Botânico Cablecar

 The lovely town of Funchal presents two different cable car services, that link different parts of this wonderful town, in order to better appreciate the astonishing beauty of this luxuriant island, in unforgettable journeys.

The Monte / Jardim Botânico Cable car presents two stations: the Jardim Botânico Station, in Quinta do Bom Sucesso, and the secondary Babosas - Monte Station.
The one way journey takes about 9 minutes, in a maximum velocity of 4,2meters per second, in a trajectory of 1.600 meters and an altitude that goes between 10 and 100 meters above the gournd, wih 12 cabins with the capacity for 8 people on each one.

The landscape is of great beauty, with valleys, hills, picturesque constructions, a wonderful vegetation, water courses and the luxuriant Laurissilva Forest, classified by UNESCO as a Natural World Heritage.

The Babosas - Monte station offers a bar service in a viewpoit of great beauty, preparing the visitors for the upcoming panoramas.
The Jardim Botânico station also offers bar service and a restaurant, both with esplanades that provide great leisure moments, as well as a shop with regional products, and toilets.
