The Santa Bárbara Mountain Range is located on the western area of the amazing Terceira Island, Azores Archipelago, filled with beauty and enchant, with panoramas of great beauty.

On the top of the mountain, occupying an area of about 1100 hectares, is located the Natural Forest Reserve of the Santa Bárbara Mountain, affirming the natural value of this mountain that houses the biggest stratovolcano, inactive, of the Island, with about 13 km diameter and raised at about 1021 meters high.
The mountain, due to its altitude and the high levels of humidity, houses several important species of flora and fauna, typical of this type of natural phenomenon, that are very important to preserve.
