Also known as Lagoa Beach, Grande do Rodízio Beach is situated in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.
The beach is limited, on the northern side, by limestone rocky cliffs, where the Hotel and the Swimming pool lay, over the ocean.
The Beach has some restaurants and bars, and an extensive sandy area with about 740 meters length, being one of the most frequented beaches in Sintra’s region.
The beach also provides great conditions for Surf and Body board, with one of the Mundial Surf/Body board competition being held here.
On the South side of the beach, there is a set of Dinosaurs footprints carved in a rock of the cliff, next to the stairways that climbs into the residential area.
The left side of the beach next to the high cliffs is one of the favourites spots for fishermen, famous for its fish quantity and quality.
