Candal Roman Bridge

This ancient bridge is situated in a forest area rural road at abot 10km distance from Aguiar da Beira over the lovely river Coja. 

The bridge dates probably from the Roman occupancy period of the territory and was situated in an access to the important Roman road that linked Viseu to Merida.

This granite bridge has about 25 meters long and 3,20 meters wide, with two round arches and a paved roadway.
