Varadouro Natural Swimming Pools

The Varadouro Natural Swimming Pools, located on the western side of the amazing Faial Island, Azores Archipelago, are one of the famous balneal places of this charming Island.

These Swimming Pools are located in a tropical weather typical “Fajã” ( plain terrain with a small extension by the seaside) with a wonderful panorama over the Castelo branco Mount.
It is possible to select either the swimming pool or the direct access to the ocean, with surprisingly mind temperatures.

Formed by basaltic rocks that were formed with the solidification of the incandescent lava in the ocean, they present configurations of great charm and beauty, with its dark volcanic rocks graciously contrasting with the vast Atlantic Ocean profound blue.
