The Costa da Caparica beaches are extended for over 15 kilometres, offering a wide variety of beaches that even though are quite similar, present different ambiances and styles.
The majority of these beaches has lifeguard during summer months, car parking, restaurants and bars.
There is also a touristic train that passes through all the beaches along the Caparica coast, during summer months only.
Due to its proximity with the Caparica urban centre, and as it is one of the beaches that still keeps a dry sandy area during high tides, the Nova Praia is often chosen by many families, and is usually very crowded during summer time.
