The Portela Viewpoint presents a lovely panorama over the delightful Porto Santo Island. Situated on the eastern side of the town, it is famous for its firework show that takes place every new year’s eve.
Situated at about 1,5km from the centre of Vila Baleira, this viewpoint allows a pleasant journey though an avenue surrounded with palm trees and windmills, in the arid yet delightful landscape of Porto Santo.
On the way to the Viewpoint is situated the charming Chapel of Our Lady of Grace, dated from 1851.
