Armona Island

Armona Island is a fishermen island integrated in the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
Further than the unique beauty of Ria Formosa, the locality of the Ilha da Armona is one of the most peaceful spots in an environment of the typical bustle, characteristic of summer time in many places of the Algarve.
The island is constituted by beaches situated both in the river and in the ocean. There is a campsite on the island, and it also possible to rent private houses or rooms. Several restaurants are available, with Fish as main dish, most of them with family tradition and management.
The connection with Olhão is made daily, usually every hour in Summer time, and with a more limited schedule in Winter time.
