Located south in the lovely Setúbal district, the beautiful Alcácer do sal department is situated over the calm Sado river, showing proudly the bright white houses that surround all the riverside road.
Towering above the village is the lovely Castle, a true testimony of the historical importance of Alcácer do Sal, as well as other monuments of also great heritage value.
It is from the river that many families in the region get their main activity, along with agriculture.
The peacefull surrounding landscape award us with its beautiful marshlands, its plain fields, but mostly with the singular richness of the Sado Estuary and all its fauna and flora.
